Mauritania to Morocco

Does the prohibition on travel from Mauritania to Morocco still exist ?

Hi Gavin
In a word "No".
You'll need a visa which you can get in Europe,Casablanca or,i believe,at the border.
I'm planning a trip across the very same border myself within a couple of months...maybe give you a wave:thumbup1: .
Have you got a copy of Chris Scott's "Sahara Overland"?Its a good source of info.....
Good luck

Dean

You only get a 3 day, or if you have hot bird with you, she can sweet-talk a 4 day visa for Mauri. We got that on our trip 3 weeks ago. Go to Nouakchott to the Ministry of the Interior and you can get another visa for 30 days for 5000 Ouigas (couple of quid).. takes most of the day though!!
