Libya Desert Challenge - Adventure Class

New to the rallying scene is the 'Libya desert challenge' rally (run by the same folks who do the el chott in tunisia)

it starts on 5 feb 2005 and has catagories to suit all, racers and just adventurers along for the ride, (bikes,cars,trucks,quads,sidecars). prices are good. and the route promises to be amazing.

this (in my opinion) is great hassle free way to drive through libya during a 2 week holiday in extreme remote areas, seeing the best of the desert and mountain sized dunes and lakes)with the safety of the organisation. I like the idea of being 'let loose' for the day, everyday, knowing youll be picked up if you have problems.

currently we have only one british biker (me!) and one british 4WD (adventure class only)(based in germany) signed up!

if you are a uk based biker wanting to take part I am gathering people to share costs for bike transport/support there and back. 5 bikes = approx £500 each (UK to ghadames and back!)

£200less if we do our own mechanics.(driver and the LR discovery will remain at ghadames)
