It is illegal to sell your car in Senegal, but several hundred people do it every year. Officially when you sell it the buyer has toi go with you to customs and either pay the customs for the car or leave the car there as a deposit. You then get an entry in your passport that the car has been cleared by customs so you can leave the country.
There is someone I know in Dakar who can shortcut this but it costs about 40 Euros. this means that you can sell the car and dont have to worry about the buyer paying customs. If you want his phone number then send me an email. This second system is illegal.
