Jordan Egypt Sudan
 

I am planning to travel from london to cape in the next two months. DID anybody crossed from Jordan into Egypt and then to Sudan after sept 11th.
Do you know if the borders are currently open. I heard that a couple coming from Cape Town couldn't get to through Egypt and had to ship the car from Somalia

Do you know what is the cost involved in driving through Egypt?

The Ferry between Nuweiba, Egypt and Aqaba, Jordan is operational. I'm not sure about the Sudan crossing though.

My contact in Sudan has told me of a couple of lots of people coming down into Khartoum since Sept 11th. The first was a bunch of guys from Edinburgh University and the second was a few cars from Italy. All got barge from Egypt to Wadi Halfa and then down to Khartoum.
