Is it worth 2 days in Morocco?
 

Hi Everyone

Im going to be in France & spain and was keen to go to Morocco for a couple of days.

any suggestions on where to go. I was thinking Fes but since there are a few experienced travellers here I thought I'd ask?

Also - do we need a carnet for two days?

Within easy access of Ceuta and Tangier are Asilah, on the Atlantic coast, and Chefchouen in the Rif. Both towns are excellent with enjoyable riding to get to them. Indeed, you could possibly do a cicuit, entering Morocco by Tangier, heading down to Asilah to stay the night, crossing over to Chefchouen the following day to spend the night there (I stayed in a tiny hotel in the medina, it was a hilarious experience getting my bike up through the tiny streets to the hotel, but no-one seemed to mind!) and the exiting via Ceuta the day after. This circuit would give you a really good picture of Morocco, the coast and the mountains, without being overly ambitious (probably, don't have a map on me so can't confirm the distance between Asilah and Chef. I know for sure you can ride port to Asilah and Chef. to port in an easy day as I've done it.) Don't know your experience of Morocco but I'd avoid the big places on a short trip like this. Small places like Asilah and Chef. are far more chilled out and in my opinion give you a more genuine Moroccan experience, plus they are easier to ride into and find a hotel in a good spot.
