insurance for co-travellers .... ?
Hi,
Am ploughing my way through various 'what ifs' as I try an plan a trip to West Africa later this year. I have been a bit stumped by the latest 'what if' and wondered if anyone can give me some help ... The scenario goes like this, we are travelling in a Bedford truck, when in most remote part of the border crossing from Libya to Niger the truck comes to an abrupt stop. We can fix it, but it is going to take some time, however some of the people on the truck need to get back to Britain. OK, the question is will their travel insurance cover the extra costs for them to get back to GB due to the truck breaking down ? Norwich Union has said no-way at present. Does anyone have any pointers to who I could try ? Basically I'm after insurance that would get the people back to UK while I wait to fix the truck. Hope that's clear, if it's not please let me know and I'll try and clarify better. Thanks Pete
