There's a KTM shop down the street from the old Mauri Consulate in Casa...same neighborhood as Campement Oasis...
If you can get someone local in Agadir to inquire for you to his friend in Casa, you may be in luck.
I saw this dealer in December 2006...so hopefully he's still around.

treads

i left a pair of anakee's in bikershome in ouarzazate about 3 wks ago. there was about half tread left on them when i changed them for knobblies. the back is a bit smaller at 140 but better than nothing. obviously ring peter first and see if he still has them. i dont have the number but you can find it in a search of bikershome.
hope it helps.

KTM lists Mondial Motors in Casablanca as a dealer: Mondial Motors, 100 Rue Ibn Habbous Maarif Extension, Casablanca. Tel: +212 22.98.29.06 and +212 22.25.10.21 web: MONDIAL MOTORS : Quads, Motomarines, Scooter des mers et Jet ski de Marque POLARIS au MAROC

Moto Plus in Casablanca area is an Aladin's Cave for bikers, telephone +212 22.20.38.15. Address is 86 Rue Hadj Ammar Riffi, Mers Sultan.

I've left a cache of tyres with Peter at http://www.bikeshome.net, tel +212 70.78.56.40 but they are BMW GS sizes. But give Peter a buzz, he may be able to help. Moto Aventuras in Ouarzazate run 450cc KTMs, don't know if they are the same size, but Peter will have their phone number.

It's normally possible to pick up part used common sized tyres in the areas the Dakar runs, Foum Zguid, for example, but I have no contact.

Tim Cullis 13 Nov 2007 11:46

Sorry, don't know and have run out of ideas--I always take my tyres with me. Did Peter come up with any ideas?

Yes, you would have to pay duty on imported tyres.

Tyres from Melilla

Hi Sasplanet,
I am almost on my way to Morocco. At the moment I am still in Salamanca/Spain, but I have planned to be in Melilla Saturday night. Since I pass the KTM-shop in Cordoba Friday evening I could try to get some tyres. BUT: Since I want to go from Melilla down to Mezouga etc. it would take some time to meet. In case you need my assistance let me know.

Good luck

Lalli

Hi Lalli

Yours sounds like a plan.I have found that ktm dealers dont stock tyres
Pirelli Scorpion 150 80/18 and 90 90/21 A/t mt90 or Michellin deserts. They have to order them but if it were possible I would be very interested in your proposal.

Tyres Agadir

Have found a Michellin baja are they Spanish and are they up to the job.

Hi,

What choice have you got? Surely you have to have them?
I can't advise you on whether they are suitable but in my experience if they are the right size, but 'unsuitable' all that will happen is they will wear out faster than normal.

I too am heading your way this weekend and will keep a watch on this thread, will happily pick some tyres up for you on the way through Spain.

Michelin Baja

Hello again,

I just talked with the mechanics of the KTM shop in Salamanca, and he told me, if the size is ok, you can use them without any problems. However he also confirmed that they are little bit less hard than other options.
Please let me know until Thursday evening if I should try to get tyres in Cordoba.
