Any experiences getting Algeria visa from Algerian Embassy in Tunisia? or Morocco?

Any experiences getting an Algeria visa from the Algerian Embassy in Tunisia? Or from the Algerian Embassy in Morocco?
I have an invitation from an Algerian, but am already in Tunisia and cannot go back to the United States to get a visa from the Algerian Embassy there (I am an American citizen). Has anyone been able to get issued Algerian visas from their embassy in Tunis, or from their embassy in Morocco?
Thanks.

Hi
I don't know for Tunisia, but for Morocco regarding the very bad diplomatic relationship between Morocco and Algeria ( the border is closed nobody cross) I'm prety sure it is not possible. May be I'm wrong but ...

No possible

Hi

Two years ago I tried to get an algerian visa in tunis. They said it is the rule for everyone that you have to apply from your homecountry. They would not take bribes. With the help of a local who knew someone in the embassy it was later possible to make an exception but it would take two weeks. So they can do it if they want but you probably need a good mouth to convince them. If you have options, use them instead.

In November of 2006, I tried the Consulate in Rabat(Morocco) near the American Embassy...but was instructed to try the Consulate in Agadez(Niger).

In February of 2007, I went and got my visa in 2 days in Agadez...as an American on a bike.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
