From Dakar to Ceuta

Folks,

Following the recent bombing in Casa it looks like my American co-driver will pull out of the north bound section of my trip home to the UK.

I will be in Dakar from around 28th to 30th May and am now looking for someone who needs a lift and can drive part time through Mauritania and Morocco. Had hoped to take my time but will most likely now just push through to Europe.

Anyone there and looking for a cheap trip back up to Europe? Fuel costs to be shared...

Other alternative is to send the car back to UK by boat from Dakar. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Mark.

hi

shipping the jipe back is very expensive.

I'm planning an expedition to from Portugal to Dakar and I already have a lot of prices of the transportation back home.

the best price I could manage is aprox 850€ per jipe... and to Portugal... to the UK it would be more expensive.

Best of luke.

Thanks. Just in case I do have to send the car by boat - which company was that with? And I presume that the cost was in Euros? The currency symbol didn`t come out on this computer...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
