Minimum time left on passport for Morroco

Hi Just a quick question, I will be going to Morroco in October & my passport expires in April 09, do I need to renew it before I go or will I be ok as I know they say you have to have a minimum of 6 months.

Cheers

I guess we are taking about a UK Passport.
I was in the same boat for Canada so dedided not to take the risk. You can get some extra time added to the new passport.
Although the new ten year one is £72 your not saving much as you will need a new one when you get back. You will not be happy to be turned back at the boarder for the sake of a few quid.

and renew it. It is standard now almost everywhere to have at least 6 months on your passport...

Consider changing it now - you're going to have to pay up anyway sooner or later. Give the passport office a call and ask them about adding the remaining time onto the new passport.

When my last passport fell apart yet was still valid, they added the remaining time to the new one so it was valid for more than 10 years. I don't have it with me now so can't say how many months exactly.

Cheers for the info guys, I spoke to the passport office & they said the maximum that they can add is 9 months on top of the 10years, so I will get it done before the rush starts!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
