Gear storage Northern Marocco
3 of us are heading down to Marocco early April on a couple of KTM's and a BMW GS. Does anybody know of a reliable place to store some gear for a couple of weeks - our road tyres and a luggage bag each until we need it for the ride home?? I was thinking of somewhere around Chefchaouen, maybe a hotel or something - any ideas??

Why leave your stuff in Morocco?......I leave equipement near Algeciras all the time......[I cross to Morocco nearly every month].

If you get your ferry tickets from IndoTour on 0034 956634153 they will, I am sure, keep stuff for you. They have an office in Algeciras and another next to Casa Bernardo's which is about 14k east of Algeciras [they will also store stuff if you ask nice and buy a meal]. In both cases say Ray from Desert Detours sent you.

What about burying your stuff in a big plastic bag/topbox along the road together with your road tyres? Store the coordinates in your GPS and dig your stuff up on the way back. Any comments anyone? Feasability.

When I have been in Morocco for a bike trip, I let my car with the trailer to a campsite named "LA CASITA" close to the highway to the port.

we left the trailer thet carried 3 trailbikes from belgium to Almeria in an underground garage in the center.
The bloke lives there in a caravan as well and paid less than 100€ for a 3 week storage of the trailer.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
