Ferry accross lake nasser
 

Hi everybody,

Does anybody have any information on the ferry crossing lake nasser from Wadi Halfa to Aswan? Planning on driving from Khartoum to Syria, through Egypt, but the ferry seems to be a slight problem! Does anybody have any good suggestions on how to tackle this problem?

When are you doing this trip? I'm in Cairo and I'm thinking of going to Syria and Lebenon late this year.

What is the slight problem? I havn't used the Ferry myself but met a few people who did. It was a bit of a hassle to get the bike on board and never on time but still doable.

Take a look at my reply under Egypt - Sudan border topic posted by Pete Sinclair (date of last reply on this item is 11th April). This talks about getting a vehicle onto the ferry, although going from Egypt rather than to Egypt.

If you phone Mr Salah in Aswan (as mentioned in my reply to Pete Sinclair) he may be able to help.
