European TLC
Thinking to buy a reasonably new diesel TLC in Europe and drive it through Mori, Mali, Niger and sell it. How much would one in great shape cost, and which european countries should I consider looking in? UK? France? Belgium?
How much would one sell for in Mali or Niger?

A reasonably new diesel TLC in Europe will cost £8000 +. Add half as much again for one in great shape. They are much more common in France than the UK.

(see http://www.sahara-overland.com/Sfiles/desdel.htm) In Mali or Niger it's much easier for them to steal them from NGOs, etc. In Agadez (for example) they prefer (or can afford) the older 60 & 61s, engines. springs, etc. (up to 1990). Fill the car our with stuff to sell if you are serious anout making money. More on p.368 Chris S
