European Insurance for a bike on african plates
 

I just bought a bike in the Gambia. It has local plates and I want to ride it back to Europe. Any advice?

Hi, if it's any help, I've been driving a ZA plated pickup around France for four years now. The insurers GAN grumbled a bit at first but are happy to take the money and issue the green slip. My advice is to go to a local office in a small town, explain the situation and they're generally more understanding than in the cities.
