Heading south from Morroco

Towards the end of october I am making my way to Sierra Leone in my Toyota Landcruiser 75 (troopie), I am delivering the car is Freetown on the 16th December so till then I am free to explore Africa.

I will be transporting some stuff for the owner but will have space for 2 or 3 people who might want to join me on the meander. Drop me a line if you´re interested.

Most likely itinery is:
Morrocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Cost, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Hey there,

That trip definitely sounds quite interesting! Would definitely be interested in finding out more, and possibly tagging along.

I'm new to these parts, so perhaps send me a private message with an e-mail so we can discuss further?

Thanks!

Sorry about the delay in my response. I have been hectic trying to get my "Troopie" ready for the journey.

I am based in Pilsen, Czech Republic, and can be contacted via mail jdanquah@email.cz or on my mobile 0042 0 775119645.

I hope to depart in the first week of November and head along the atlantic route to Senegal, Guinea Bisseau, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

In Sierra Leone I am pickng up a doctor who will run a surgery in a small village near Bo, the main reason for this trip is to bring supplies like medication and sanitation to the village of Nlala Komboya.

In January I am making a slow journey back to Europe.

Anyone is welcome to join if they are prepared to share in the fuel cost for the part of the journey they make.

Hi,
we are also heading south, destination Cap Skiring (southmost point of the Senegalese coast)
We are going to take the ferry on 28.oct. Sete-Nador. I see you are going to leave a week later, but since we are travelling with two small children (that means slowly maybe we can meet somewhere on the way.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
