Erg Tifernine - Algeria

Does someone ever ride in the erg tifernine in Algeria ? Any picture to share ? :cool4: |
We drove around the spur in 2002. Very nice area, but all my pix are scratched slides.
One of the best images is this one! I know Wolfgang Seel who used to work at Darrs in Munich did a few trips through that Erg on KTM Adventures. And the GE Oriental and many more sand seas. I tell you, these Germans are tough as nails! Ch |
... very chalenging dunes, few Gassi, step and very high dunes (more than 100m) - the most difficult Erg in Algeria imho in particular for cars. Absolute a fantastic experience! I only drove it in the outer zone, had much too much respect to penetrate deeper. Swiss colleagues travelled there in 2002 or 2003, had to abandon 2 4x4 and had a very hard time to go for their recovery with Algerian cars and drivers.
