Egypt - Sudan Border
There seems to be quite a bit of 'chat' around on various bulletin boards suggesting that it might soon be possible to cross from Egypt to Sudan via a land border, thereby avoiding the Aswan - Wadi Halfa cement boat shenanigins. Has anyone any confirmations or updates on this?

Pete,

I just looked at your website - very neat and the tracking gizmo is even more impressive. Is it there so your employers can make sure that you're really doing the trip and not sitting in a bar somewhere? The Blogger thing also seems to be working - also an excellent find.
