Desert Bike tyres?

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000242.html

I am assembling the definitive Desert Biking tyre thread, above. If you have any comments or experience, I'd love to hear it BEFORE d-day (teh beginning of April). I know that some people on here <ahem> have loads of experience in the Dez, and I don't want crappy tyres choice to spoil my trip (round the Med and through the Middle East (rocky?))

Ta!

we're going on a morocco trip in a month's time and we'll be riding MEFO. compared the mefo 'STONEMASTER' with Pirelli's on a previous trip and were impressed by it's lack of wear... The michelin desert great tyre but mefo a good (much cheaper)alternative.

Ive ridden an XT600 Tenere on 3 desert trips and found the Michelin T63 front and Rear Perfectly good.

Although recently I used Michelin Deserts front and rear with mousses and found them to be unbreakable (Rallying) but more pricey of course.

Overall, I recommend Desert Rear with a T63 Front - This would be good for general desert biking for me.

Hope this is useful

Hi,I used Continental TKC80'S with a reinforced tube on the rear on a trip to Maroc, found them to be really good on and off road.
