morroc to mauritania

hello everyone
my name is derek and i am currently in casablanca trying to continue a trip to monrovia. unfortunately i am running into dificulty getting south. i do not have a tremendous amount of money so flying is out the picture. i was hoping someone may have some specific information about how to continue my journey. right now i know i can take a bus to dakhla and then i assume i could find some form of transpo from there. i am not keen on hitching but i can and will do just about any other form of transpo. i am definately up to playing co pilot if someone is heading in that direction. anyway any help will be greatly appreciated. i have reviewed this site and it seems to be predicated on dispensing info if you already have transpo. again help will be appreciated.

derek

Take the bus to Dahkla and then go the Camping Moussafir, about 10km out of town by the first police post; from there you should meet some overlanders. Otherwise get friendly with THAT police post who'll know where everyone is going & ask for a lift for you ...

In NBD; try Camping La Baie du Levrier, ask Ali (boss) to help you out!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
