Crossing Egypt border really not so difficult

Hi everybody,

We've just arrive in Egypt through Nuweiva, and it was very easy and quite fast.

Carne de Passage, some taxes, insurance and finally got the license and a local plate (:)). All done near 45 minutes !

All we needed (insurance, copies, atm, customs, etc...) were in the same place and people helpful.

The real challenge is the language as it's all in Arab, including the forms.

He have been helped by a Tourist Police who looked after us at all the steps. (for free...)

Based on our Central America's experience (from 2 to 6 hours each) it was a nice surprise.

Cheers,

Marcelo

Thanks Marcelo, 45 mins must have given you a noise bleed! Let's hope it was not a fluke.

Do we take it you came down through Syria?

Yes, good surprise!
I think you mean Nuweiba on the read sea?
I hope too that this is going to be the same for the others border post!

Fresh air ...

According with local people there is really fresh air in Egypt.

We can feel it in the street, with locals and policemen, and probably at all borders not only Nuweiba (Sinai, Red Sea).

Cheers,

Marcelo
