Comanav ferry Genua-Tanger?

Please can anyone confirm the following?

the sanitary conditions on the Comanv ferry from Genua to Tanger are said to be catastrophic - cockroaches, bedbugs, etc. even in the more expensive cabins.

and what is more important to me: the trip does not take 2 but 3 days, because they go slowly to safe on fuel?

It would not bother me personaly to much, but I am to book the passage for a group and if the above is true, I would opt for the more expensive Grimaldi Line.

Your info is greatly appreciated.

Greetings
Arthur

I took both, Comanav and Grimaldi.
While Grimaldi is much more confortable and modern, I never saw any cockroaches or bedbugs on the old Habib (Comanav), which is actually a "classic" for the travellers to North Africa.

Hi,

it is not that bad.

We did in Okt. Genua Tanger and back Tanger Savone.

You cannot expect a cruise ship it depends pretty much on the ship. Going to Tanger we spent 50h on the Marrakech Express. The ship is already a bit shabby but compared to other ferries I have seen not too bad. I would have expected a bit a better standard in Comfort class. For sensible people it may be close to the limit but still ok.

The return trip we travelled the Ozud. Much better ship, cabin and food. With heavy weather at the beginning we spent 55h. The downside came just in Savone where we spent an hour just to reach custom. Congratulations to the Italian authorities! This is not the impression you want to get entering the EU.

Best regards
Bernd

I apologise, I did not read carefully the first post...
My experience is related to the ferry Genoa-Tunis, not Genoa-Tanger. I never took the ship on this last segment.
Sorry again...

Hallo Arthur,

WB
