Coastal-road from Egypt via Libia to Tunesia - possible by normal car?
 

Hello all,

In october next year I'm planning to make a "middle east/north africa trip". I'm starting in The Netherlands and drive to Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt. Then, for the route back home I want to drive from Egypt through Libia to Tunesia to catch the boat back to France / Italy.

The thing is; I'm not travelling by bike of 4WD. My plan is to use my 25 years old Mercedes W123.

What do you think of the condition of the coastal road from Egypt via Libia to Tunesia? Is it possible to drive this route with a non-4WD? Thanks in advance for your answers!
