Chad Sudan border
 

Hi
Am girlfriend of Gert Duson who is currently going from Brussels to Capetown in a 2CV. I spoke with him last night before he leaves for Lagos to get visa for Cameroon, into Chad and then Sudan. They have visas for Sudan but does anyone have any information or can confirm re the current situation with the border closure between Chad and Sudan. Is it still closed? How long is this likely to be the case? I will be speaking with the guys tonight and tomorrow - any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

the Chad Sudan border is NOT CLOSED, and is relatively straight forward to get across. formalities in sudan cost about $30 per person.
