Specially places where they might accept travelers with dogs...

South of Agadir: N29 26.783 W10 06.889 - A few miles north of Sidi Ifni is Legzira Beach where you can camp on the cliff tops. There are hotels at beach level with food and drink. Interesting beach with two lovely sea arches.

North of Laayoune: N27 27.755 W13 03.939 - Le Roi Bedouin run by Luc and Martine is a couple of miles west of the main road south of Tarfaya on the southern edge of Sabkhat Oum Dba. Beautiful location with a (normally dry) calcified waterfall. You can also stay in a 'bungalow' and Martine's camel and date tajine is to die for. If you are in your Land Cruiser and fancy a more adventurous arrival you can also take the piste at the northern end of the Sabkhat at N27 35.625 W12 57.063 and head west then south.

Dakhla: You will see many camping cars (motorhomes) on the peninsula at N23 54.031 W15 47.228 and at N23 49.876 W15 51.868 and you can camp with them or use the official camp site on the edge of Dakhla.

Halfway between El Ouatia (Tan Tan Plage) and Tarfaya at N28 06.420 W12 02.280 is the sea hole known as Goufre d'Akhfenir which is worth a stop. It's not marked by signs, but is before the town of Akhfenir.

Camping in Marrakesh
 

Try Le Relais de Marrakesh opposite the new stadium on the Casablanca road. Set well back so not much traffic noise. Pool, bar, resto, very clean.

My quite limited experience of campsites in Morocco was not favourable. You can often get a reasonable room in a hotel for not a great deal more dirhams.

Same here, in January 06 myself, 2 Dutch and a Belgian got 2 adequate rooms between us(single beds!) for €2 each plus a tip for the Guardien who looked after the bikes overnight, this was in Kenifra.

Camping Boujdour
 

Hello,

I came back from Senegal/Mauretania/West-Sahara/Marroco and I had one exceptional positive experience concerning camp sites: This Boujdour, between Laayoune und Dhakla, approx. 150km south of Laayoune. The camp site is really new, very clean and the best sanitary arrangements, hot water. For me just perfect. Here the GPS-data: N26 07.941 W14 29.676;
from the main road in the middle of town you find a sign "camping" direction to the sea. I also can recommend breakfast there. The owners were incredible nice.

Most of the time when we were driving round Morocco last year we just parked up and camped where we were when it got to the evening. We didn't have any hassle, and just followed tracks off the road until we felt comfortable somewhere...

On a bike would be different, but we had no problems and found that it was very relaxed. Sometimes we'd have visitors who wanted to have a good stare at us and a chat, but no problems. In fact the only country where I feel uncomfortable parked up in the car is Britain where years of official persecution of anyone living in a vehicle has resulted in it always being a paranoid night in the car...
