Camel trekking from Red Sea to the Atlantic

Was surprised to see a Swede on this desert adventure!

Expedition Christian Bodegren Dispatches, By CONTACT4.0

His linguistic deficiencies add a poetic touch to the story, I think.
"Although camels are generally calm animals was this thing making me relays something.
Antar is a big animal which needed to being handle with great respect.
Because things can going very wrong if you not are observant.
And we had maybe lost some of that respect for each other during the long journey.

After the accident we stopped to talk to one old Bedouin which was herding he's camels.
He told me, that Antar and me have a future connected.
Are souls was mixed together in that moment he's teeth was entered my flesh.
And the big amount of blood I was sacrifice in the sand in Sahara and survive.

Have a meaning.

Africa are not letting you die and always going to be a big part of your life.

You are one together, you and Africa and Sahara."

I would think it is possible to cross the Libyan border into Algeria near Ghat, with touareg assistance. Hope to prove it, someday....Bodegren the camel driver didn't try and veered north into Tunisia.
The "safe" route - - - but the last leg, Algeria through the desert to the Atlantic won't be a picnic.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
