Border crossing into Morocco at Ceuta

My husband and I are planning to enter Morocco from Ceuta next month on our motorbikes. When crossing the border on two bikes, is it possible for one of us to go do all the paperwork while the other stays with the bikes or do we each have to process our own bikes? If one can do it, would it be better for the husband or wife to go deal with the authorities?

I understand that people are available at the border to help you process the bikes. Is it worth it or is it easy enough to do it yourself? How much would be the expected payment?

Thanks for any help!

we went to marrocos last year (with land rovers) and enter in ceuta. the paperwork tock abaut 2 hours and was't very dificult.

we will leave the motorbikes near the place were you take care of the paperwork. so no problem

When you arrive in Ceuta you do all your paperwork outside, i.e. you hand it in through a little window to get it done. So you are never more than 10 metres away from the bikes. I would not use any of the people who hang around to do the paperwork for you, they could easily run off with your papers but you could get them to "guard" your bikes for you which isn't really necessary unless the place is packed. If they do "guard" them for you I would give them no more than 20 Dirhams or so although even this is maybe too much.

We used one of the officials guides with the little ID card on their chests. It tooks us half an hour and he asked for 1000 Pesetas to which we gave 700 in coins. Very effecient and friendly and I recon they get paid allready so whatever you give them they will be happy.
