as we had a lot of time in March 2005 we drove to Galtat Zemour and asked the military post if it is possible to enter Mauritania. The answer was clear: NO!
BUT it is possible the other way from BM to GZ! The problem for the moment is the unsecurity in this sector. The Polisario seems to hold an old spanish Fort in the No-mans-Land. Best way to know what is going on is to ask Justus from Camping Bab Sahara in Atar when you are there
