It seems lookin' better ... thanks for these news

I've read the new algerian page : have you reliable infos about formalities in Algiers ( when you travel with your own car from Marseille with ferry ) , it seems that no guide is mandatory before El Menia .

No first hand news about driving out of Algiers, but I get the impression the guide rule is border to border, although as we know people have done it without down the Tanezrouft. A fluke I think.
Algeria has always been quite strict and by the book; if you want to avoid guides for the moment try Libya on a good day, or Mori.
