Bikershome, Ouarzazate

Can someone post a map link for Bikershome, have had no joy trying to find it on a map and don't want to be the 'lost tourist' when I get off the bus from Marrakech. Have emailed Peter but awaiting reply.

cheers

Paste this in Google Maps and turn it to 'sat view'
30 53.864 -006 54.083
(The wpt is not correctly formatted on his website.)

Cross the bridge to the south side of the river, turn east and look for a sign on the left up the alley.

There's three main roads leading out of Ouarzazate--east to Skoura, north to Marrakech and south to Zagora.

Bikers Home is on the extreme southern end of town on the Zagora road, 200 metres before open countryside. Follow signs for Zagora until you reach totally open countryside and if you missed the sign to the left, turn around and go back 200 metres when the sign will now be on the right.

And once you make your turn off the main road, merely ride slowly enough so that all the neighborhood kids can descend upon you, shouting and laughing and pointing you directly to BikersHome. They all know what to do when they see an overlander looking confused.

Great place, great people.

Just got back to freezing scotland! Peter picked me up from the bus station so had no trouble getting there in the end. Had a top time in Morocco with great food at bikershome and some great riding!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
