Atar to Tidjika on a kite buggy

Hi all

we're three people planning a weird trip to Mauritania. In order to clarify some crucial unknowns I'm asking for your collaboration!

The plan is to go from Atar to Tindjika on kite buggies, that is a small three-wheel buggy powered by kites, that is, wind-powered. It's pretty much like kite surfing but on land...

The constraints are evident. The biggest worry is on route conditions. Can anyone provide us with pictures taken on that route? that would help a lot.

Thanks

Joan et al.

Hi,

There are some rocky passes to cross along the way to Tidjikja. They can be difficult to pass with such transportation.
By late August I will be able to send you some pics.

José

If your french is any good these guys might be able to give you some pionters; http://www.kitesandboards.com they organise buggy sessions on lake Iriki.
There's a guy called Gaetan who contributes to the forum on www.sahariens.info who has talked about such a feat; maybe he's done it by now, or perhaps he fancies joining you.
Sounds like a great adventure, may the wind be in your favour.
