Hi Chris, it’s Athos from African Adventures (we met last saturday at Tchintoulous in Agadez). During our trip Tunis-Agadez-Dakar of october 2005, when we got to the Arbre du Ténéré the tree was (sadly) lying on the sand. It has been a great honor to raise it and fix it.

Hi Athos, yes I recognised you in the group. You all performed a great service to Saharan travels and now we have the new Berliet balises too across the Tenere too. The next job will be to take the old Saviem balise (#15 or 16?) which I spotted caping the well at Orida and put that back - but that may not be so popular...
