Anyone know the Tiz`N`Tichka in Morocco

I`ve just found it using Mapsource & plan to visit next year.
My question is;

Is it the N9 that runs North-South. Or is it the "Road" that runs East-West to Telouet??

Many thanks.

The N9 runs from Marrakesh to Ouarzazate, and includes the Tiz N Ticha pass.

Personally, if you are only going for the view, I think the Tiz N Test pass, which heads south west from Marrakesh is actually a more scenic and interesting road. it has less traffic, but the road was not in as good condition as Tiz N Ticha.

cheers

Tizi is Tamazight (Berber) for col.

Hotel Riad Hida, Maroc is a lovely hotel south of the Test pass at Ouled Berhill

I am three-quarters through the continent and found the Tizi-n-Tichka the scariest experience in all of Africa. Many of the local drivers are absolutely mad - and quite a number of them dead 1000m below.

It's really a lottery ...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
