Anyone crossing Libya in the next few weeks?
 

I'm in Tunisia at the moment and need to get across Libya to Egypt to collect my travel companion who's flying in from the UK. I would prefer not to drive across Libya alone, so am looking for someone who wants a lift across or the company of another car. I'll be travelling quite fast and will probably take about 4 days to get from border to border. I'm driving a Landie Defender Tdi and have 2 spare seats. Anyone out there want to share costs and company?

This all assumes that I can get a transit visa for Libya in Tunis. I'll check this out in the next couple of days and post an update. Even so, perhaps there's someone in Tunis going in the same direction. If a transit visa's not an option, is there anyone else who's headed in the same direction who would like to share guide costs?

I hope to leave Tunis in about 10 - 14 days time, if all goes according to plan.
