Anyone in or around Bobo-Dioulasso / Burkina Faso?

I am currently in Bobo for 3 months, following a 34 day trip and 7000 kms from central Europe to Bobo-Dioulasso via the transatlantic route. If anyone is passing through and needs any info or a place to stay then mail me back. I check mails every other day if the server works, so be patient. If all else fails then leave a message at "Casa Afrique" and ask for Andy and the blue Land Rover that caught fire! They will know where I am!!!! Also, if anyone needs a fresh up date on the Transatlantic route ( Almeria - Melilla - Morocco - Western Sahara - Mauritania - Senegal - Mali - Burkina Faso, then let me know and I will be more than happy to offer any advice.

Cheers,

Andy Hunt

Hi Andy
We will be leaving the UK at the end of Feb to travel to Ghana in two 101's. On your route, what was the greatest distance between fuel stops and what was your fuel consumption compared to your usual road consumption? Only the 101's are thirsty so I need to get the fuel storage right. Did you follow the GPS coordinates for the taxi route from Noadhibou or have you more recent ones? Also what route did you take out of Mauritania and into Mali? Lastly, has anyone there heard of the Euro? what would you do about taking currency now that the French Franc is no more?
Sorry about all the questions, but you did ask?
Malcolm
