Anybody around Tichitt (RIM) this mid July ?

We plan to be at Tichitt, (RIM) around mid July (best time of the year according to cunning Baldrick ) and then drive to Oualata and Mali, more accurate plans shall be made ,for sure, with the morning tea.

We have some experience in RIM but would rather do the part bet Tichitt, Oualata , Mali with another vehicle.

We are only one vehicle with all the basics . In case somebody wants to come along, Spanish, English, German, Catalan, Italian, and bit of French are spoken by some of the three of us.

In case somebody wants to join the route with us, please let us know.

Tichitt in August

Hello,

We shall be in Tichitt just a month after you guys, which is a shame cos we are also looking for desert companions...

As we shall also be travelling on to Mali we might catch up with you somewhere else...

Who knows, may be we are still at Tichitt, waiting.... but waiting in Tichit in summer is not gonna be easy, I was told by locals that Tichitt becomes quite hot during that time.

Hi Lluis,

Everyday the sands are calling, however if all goes to plan, it will be a newborn baby calling the loudest in late July!

Good luck on preparations and keep us up to date. I'm planning a motorcycle group trip, with 4x4 support on the same route next Jan/Feb (details to follow soon) so I'd be really interested in how your journey goes.

Bonne chance!

p.s. July? Remember to pack a good sun hat.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
