Any Recommendations?
Hi all.
Will shortly need to stay briefly in both Rabat & Marrakech, prior to riding south on the Atlantic route. Looking for clean reasonable accommodation (preferably with either it's own secure parking area or nearby secure parking), and relatively central. Can anybody offer suggestions based upon experience? Thanks. Mike |

Thanks for that. I'd already emailed the Toulousain, but they said they had no inside parking for a bike??? ........ pity because it looked a nice place!
Thanks |

I just stayed in Toulousain in July and can recommend it. It is true that there is a little place inside and it is also true that you can't park there. There are other people and businesses in the large building and it seems to me that they don't want this, need the space for themself. In the street of the hotel there is a parking possibility with a gardien, I used it for my car.
Another possibility is the Hotel C.T.M. just at the Djemaa el-Fna. It has this large former bus garage, and this is open for bikes. The problem ist just that the Djemaa el-Fna is closed for trafic. But it is possible to park, I saw car and bikes inside. It is independant, don't belong to the hotel. The C.T.M. has a beautiful location, but was not much loved for it's bad rooms. In the past year they started a big renovation, and some of the rooms should be already available. |

Thanks Edith & Eric for posting. Decided to go ahead and book. If it turns out I can't park at the hotel, I'm sure 'guarded' parking on the street can't be too far away!
Thanks again Mike |

Hi Mystic,
We stayed in a perfectly acceptable hotel in Rabat which had a secure parking (if you don't mind cats crawling all over your bike) but I can't for the life of me think what it was called. It was just opposite the walled market area. Send a message to Bert as I think he had it as a waypoint and might even remember its name. |
