Algeria (Oran) to Burkina Faso
 

In the light of recent events in Mali, can anyone recommend the safest route to travel by bike from Algeria to Burkina Faso. Advice is very much appreciated. Andre

Hello.

Now you can cross south Algeria to Mali or to Niger. North Mali is too dangerous now :thumbdown:. Better Niger.

Next August, I'll try to cross Algeria to Niger via In-Gezam, Arlit, Agadez next August. Then Chad and Camerun and come back to Burkina, Mali and Senegal.

In Algeria is preceptive a guide, may be you not need him if you travel alone, I don't know.

At Niger you can continue main roads from Agadez to Niamey, then Burkina.
