agadez- bilma
Guys,
I would like to do Agadez to Bilma by camel later this year. I am not an experienced Sahara hand like many of you. My intention had been to arrive at Agadez, do a shorter tours around the Air massif until I found a guide I felt I could trust. Is this hair brained? I would appreciate your comments on any issues I may have. It seems that safety ie robbers etc is ok but not ideal at the moment. I intend to rely upon my guides navigation. Has anyone else done this? Can anyone recommend a guide. Thanks, be gentle. Will

Not hare-brained at all and commonly done. Guide probs are usually over expectations and money, not nav (which would be short-sighted).
The book has 40 pages on DIY camelling, including Air written by an Australian guy. You may find Air more rewarding/interesting than the forced march across to Bilma.
