Across The Sahara in 2001/early 2002
 

Hi

I am looking to buy a 4wd and go across the Sahara this year.It sounds very sad but I have no one to go with at the moment.I am posting this message to invite anybody to join me , and also whether anybody out there would like to invite me and my vehicle along with them. I would like to get out there as soon as possible.

On another note I woa thinking of buying a cheapish series 3, as I do like the shape; but a few books have made me think again, as they are aparently unreliable, and as I am not too technically minded???Could anybody comment on this

I was thinking,as a first timer, that I should do the Morocco/Mauritania route. Will I get to see any san sea or typical sahara landscapes on this route.

Would appreciate any comments

My advice go Alg-Niger to be the best Saharan landscapes.Maroc Mori is relatively dull unless you go in from Atar
