2 Brownchurch 'Overlander' Tents for sale.

Not sure if this is the right place for this message . . . but I've got 2 of them for sale. 6 months old, cost £685 each, excellent condition, will take £450 each or near offer. Email me direct if you want or reply here.

Thanks,

Pete.

Hi Pete
I have a 110 with a Brownchurch rack..... always fancied a roof tent. Is access from the front, side or rear? Do I have to remove a section of railing from the rack sides to allow access? Are they waterproof or just for tropical use? (UK weather?!)
I couldnt collect til Easter as Im in Cairo right now (was in Alnwick over the New Year!) - is that a problem?

LRN

*edit* Which model are they? the 2000 that stays within the roof rack or the 2001 that overhangs?

Sorry for the delay in replying - just been back to S Africa again (this time by plane).

The tents are excellent for UK weather - used them here in field tests before we went away, and they survived extremely heavy rain in Europe and East AFrica during our recent trip.

They are the later model of tent - i.e. the one that can hang over the side of the roofrack - but I see no reason why they couldn't unfold entirely within the roofrack space. If you want them to hang over the side of the roofrack then you will have to remove a piece of the roofrack side rail to accommodate them. I did this on my Brownchurch rack without any problems.

Easter shouldn't be a problem - provided they're not sold by then - but I'm in no desperate hurry to sell.

Cheers Pete, that sounds great.
Do they add appreciatively to the height of the vehicle when they are stowed? (Just thinking about garaging the Landy)

*edit*
where is the access point - ie do they have bonnet access ladders etc
