Was wondering which routes is the most suitable, the more safe and the easiest?
Is is to follow the Atlantic route and then heading east or going down the west coast of

Buy yourself a copy of Chris Scott's "Adventure Motorcycle Handbook" and search this website for threads on that subject, you'll be overwhelmed with information.
Good Luck and enjoy.

Hi Traveller,
Not necessarily the most scenic or "best" route to SA seems to me still down the West Coast, which I did in the fall of 2000. East Coast is easy except Sudan. As a Brit will you get a visa? If you do, by all means go down the East Coast: Egypt, great desert crossing, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, Victoria Falls. J.burg, Cape Agulhas. In 2000/01 I went down the West Coast and up the East Coast, starting and finishing in London, in a little over 4 months. You can read all about it in my book, "Africa Against the Clock on a motorcycle." See "Books" section under "B" for Bausenhart.
Why not use other people's experiences rather than re-inventing the wheel.
