Where to stay in Cusco
Hi,
we are travelling in Peru and will arrive in Cusco in about one week. We are looking for information on safe, clean and inexpensive places to stay, with motorcycle parking.
Any suggestions?

Hi Werner,

How's things? Hope this message gets to you in time to be useful.

We stayed at a place right near the main plaza. I can't remember the name - perhaps Casa Rosa. Anyway, here is how you get there from the Plaza by foot. Starting from the front of the Cathederal and facing it, turn right. Cross a wide road leading away from the Plaza. That road splits into 2 almost imediately. One part continues along the side of the Cathederal. The other heads directly away from it and youshould follow this road. Then take the first turning on the right. I think it is Via Santa Catalina.

The hostal is about 50m up the road on the left. It has huge old timber doors which when fully oped can let a car through. This is no more than 2 minutes walk. The hostal is an old place built around a courtyard where you can park. We paid 35 Soles a night for a twin room with hot shower. Basic but comfortable enough.
