Updated info regarding border crossing from Serbia to Kosovo....?

Hi all. We´re in Voronezj, Russia, at the moment on our way to Georgia/Turkey/around the Black Sea..... The plan is to go back home to Sweden via Bulgaria/Serbia and then north but we want to visit Kosovo again. Anyone here that has updated info regarding crossing the border from Serbia to Kosovo? I´ve read lately that they´ve started to make things easier for tourists.....

Kosovo and Serbia to Set Permanent Border Crossings :: Balkan Insight

Border management begins for Kosovo and Serbia (SETimes.com)

Serbia, Kosovo implement joint border controls | News | DW.DE | 10.12.2012

We are trying to avoid the hassle with having to enter Kosovo via Macedonia instead of straight from Serbia. We were in Kosovo a couple of years ago and we are looking for UPDATED information since it seems that the situation between Serbia and Kosovo slowly seems to having improved lately......

Thanks.

we rode there two weeks ago

on our eastern europe trip we travelled from montenegro - serbia- kosovo- serbia- bulgaria.
We had no problems. Just keep your green insurancecard handy.

But we had following informations:

If you want go out of the Kosovo into Serbia you must have entered Kosovo trough Serbia. Otherwise they wont let you into Serbia from Kosovo.
Also we heard something about that you have to go to a policestation to report your stay in Serbia, but only if you are there for more than 24 hours ?!
Not shure about that, we did not do it (was a little more than 24 hours because we stayed one night in kosovo) and there was not even a question at the border.
Other Travellers (on forums) also had no problem.

Hope this helps a litlle.

greets from Bulgarias black sea

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
