Just to update this: the road is completely sealed, apart from three river crossings by ferry. A very easy & quick ride.

Hola,

On my map there's a road/track from San Fernando de Apure to Puerto Paéz via La Macanilla at the entrance to Cinaracu-Capanaparzo national park. Does anyone know the state of this road and how difficult it is now wet season has hit? Is there a ferry at the end across the Orinoco to get to El Burro and the Puerto Ayacucho road?
