China 2012 Kasigar to Mohan

TRIP OF A LIFE TIME.

I have organised a 35 day tour entering into China from Kyrgyzstan to Kashgar, starting the first week in September 2012, the route will be the 219 to Lhasa, Mt Everest base camp, then onto Mohan and crossing into Laos.
The trip will be a one entry and one exit point only! This is to ensure no complications on the way with the vast amount of paper work involved.
The price will be 2550 Pounds Sterling per person, there is a deposit of 1500 pounds, note this will not be refundable so think before you pay!!
Please note this price is for the Guide, Vehicle, and all associated paper work, permits, National ones, Provincial ones, Customs ones and wireless equipment ones, Temp driver licences and number plates, you will be responsible for your own accommodation, fuel, food and anything else along the way.
Also note you will need good travel insurance, this is your responsibility, i can only do so much to help you if a problem arises.
There is a maximum of 5 places available, these will be allocated on a first come, first paid basis, but i would also like to know your riding abilities etc before making a final decision, as the route will be over 5200m in stages and 90% gravel roads, so please supply details about yourself and the wheels you will be using, and your abilities or lack of them, be honest with yourself and me!
We maybe have the option of using our own vehicle for the trip, this will be used to carry the guide and will create a big saving to those involved this will be deducted off the final figure if available at the time of departure.
So please feel free to email; jogtomuk@gmx.com with your details and questions about the trip.
Note the trip will be closed from mid February 2012, due to paper works/ permits etc.
Please don’t respond if you are a dreamer, arm chair expert, want to change the route, joint from different points it’s not available! .If you have got the money and time drop me a line, if not please don’t waste my time it’s that simple.
If you need advise on Visas etc I can forward details.
The trip will be leaving from the UK at the end of July and you can join at any point you wish along the way.
Note I have paid the deposits today, the trip is on.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
