UK to Mongolia June 2011

Hi all.
I had hoped to be gone already but a mistake on an invitation letter has set me back.
I have now applied for my business Russian multi entry and will know if I get it in a few days to a weeks time.
The other visas (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzatan and Mongolia) should take 30ish days to complete. This makes my departure date from the UK around the 1st week in June. So who’s still going?
I have one final visa question/problem to ask about.
Kazakhstan; I know to get the visa at the London embassy and it takes 3 days, I think I can get a 1 month multi entry tourist visa, but does the one month start ticking away the day I collect the visa? That would mean crossing Europe and doing all the other Stans within one month?
Words of wisdom please.

visas

As I understand it, you put the dates in when you want to enter and then leave the country on the last day of your visa expires or before. The time starts ticking on your first day of entry in to Khazakhstan, just dont be late to leave.

cheers Allchin, the embassy website is as clear as mud. I've heard you can get a 60day double entry tourist visa, which is more that enough, even if it starts ticking when I collect it in london. One month would be fine if it can be post dated.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
