Tunisia to SW Africa - good routes?
 

my fiancee and i are planning to take a 5-week honeymoon driving a Peugot 504 from Paris to SW Africa, selling the car somewhere at whatever destination we choose. we looking at potential routes and are interested in doing Tunisa southward into eastern Algeria (i did the Tanezrouft route years ago with two friends, starting in morrocco and ending in cote d'ivoire). a few questions:

a) can people recommend or NOT recommend routes thru Tunisa, Algeria, Libya, Niger?

b) where is a good final destination to shoot for, a place where we should be able to sell our Peugot for a good price?

thanks in advance. btw, we are american passport holders, if that makes any difference in route options (Libya?).
