Trip To Spain

Hi Guys
I am planing a short trip to Spain Marbella this July. I would like to stay off the motorways and travel the back road for a long as possible. May be a trip over the high viaduct. If any one has done this trip please give me some ideas of good place to visit or to stay camp sites B&B etc.
Many Thanks Peter

High viaduct - are you talking about the bridge through Ronda?

The road from near Marbella to Ronda is a great great motorcycle road. There is a decent campsite on the outskirts of Ronda, not very cheap for a campsite, but not too bad.

Ronda is a town worth a visit - it has a Mcdonalds, if thats your thing! But its still worth a walk around the town, and a walk down to the lower ground so you can look up onto the bridge.

From Ronda there are some great roads, out towards Coin (after Coin into Malaga it becomes really built up) is good, or the road toward Gibraltar is a good road, with some interesting little castles to visit on the way.

Would recommend the Silver Route to get down to Southern Spain (just type in Silver Route Spain into Google - plenty of info there). When you get down South there are plenty of west to east routes through the mountains of Andalucia - great scenery.....Have fun

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
