Smile How Much Time ? How Much Cash ?

ok, here is my proposed route from scotland to egypt , scotland to the south of france , along the cote,d,azur , cross italy to slovenia , all the way down the dalmatian coast , greece , bulgaria, turkey, syria, jordan, and at last egypt . and the way home will be ,egypt, jordan, syria, turkey , hopefuly then get a ferry over to cyprus to visit my mum in her holiday home in paphos . and then back to turkey , and from there home through , greece , ferry to bari in italy , up into france and ferry home . anyone done a similar route ? i need to have a general idea of just how long it will take . i will be in egypt for at least two week,s and will be visiting most of the obvious tourist sites along the way , but i do not really need or want to rush through everywhere without stopping to just wander around all the places i will be visiting . the furthest i have ever been before on a bike is all over france and into spain . where i can get along fine on around £50.00 a day for fuel,camping/cheap formule1 type hotels and doing all the touristy stuff , museums and so on . so how long should it take ? four /six weeks ? any help on this would be a great help . thank,s

How long is a bit of string?

Read

How long does it take? depends on YOU.

Here I plan on 400 km per day - every 7th day off. Add to that places you want to stop at .. and how long for.... add say 10% for extras ..

How far /fast do you travel in France? I'd reduce it for Egypt ... say half that speed.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
