I did this in reverse in June this year. Firstly, South Korea is a VERY small country - I travelled 700kms in total riding from Busan to Daegu and then North along the coast from Pohang to Sokcho.

In total I was in Korea 5 days - 1 day in Busan collecting the bike, 1 day in Daegu visiting friends, 1 day in Uljin whilst on the road to Sokcho, and 1 day in Sokcho whilst waiting for the ferry - I left on the 5th day.

I had to really spread my time out as the roads are so good it would have been very easy to ride Busan - Sokcho in a single day.

What is indispensable about Korea? Nothing really - just enjoy the roads, get off the beaten track a little, enjoy the seafood, maybe go to a beach (can't go to many though because many have barbed wife to stop the North Koreans invading).

After Russia, you will find Korea very civilised - very neat, trim and proper - much like Japan.

One word of warning - do NOT attempt to ride on the freeways - bikes are not allowed and the police can be VERY tetchy when they catch you (ask me how I know!).

FARQHUAR!!! thanks for your advices about south Korea, yes I know is small country, but im sure i will enjoy ridind my moto after so much kilometers in Russia!! suddenly so diferent culture, only with a ship "jump"!! I would like too visit temples and natural parks, do camping...

We cant go to China, then this is the only "oriental continental option" to do, before ship to Japan islands.

Really thanks all yours advices...I hope enjoy same as you riding in roads...but not in higways...hehe!!
